How to Configure your Email Client
There are many devices and software to handling email notifications and organization. We have created instructions for the most commonly used applications and devices in this how-to section.
DNS/Email Customizer
Here you can enter your current URL so that all of the records below can be copied and pasted.
Enter your Details
Do not include "HTTP://", "HTTPS://", "www." or any other subdomains unless you are sure that DNS records require this prefix.
Mozilla Thunderbird Configuration
These are the instructions are specific to your the Thunderbird email client when using the "autoconfig or autodiscover" A records.
- Launch the Thunderbird Application
- Click on Tools -> Account Settings -> Account Actions -> Add Mail Account
- Enter the user's full name, e-mail address, and password
- Click on Continue Thunderbird will automatically find the proper server names
- Click on Create Account
Important Note:
Thunderbird will automatically setup the accounts as IMAP. If you desire POP3, you will have to setup the account manually. IMAP is recommended, as it´s a protocol made to support several devices accessing one same account, with all folders synced at our server, which also guarantees that our backups will be executed.
Outlook 2013/2010 Configuration
These are the instructions are specific to your the Outlook 2013/2010 email client when using the "autoconfig or autodiscover" A records.
- Click on the File menu and it shall show you the Info tab
- Click on Add Account
- Type in your full name, e-mail address and password and click on Next
- Click on Allow when asked about autodiscover.xml
- Click on Finish
Important Note:

Outlook 2007 Configuration
These are the instructions are specific to your the Outlook 2007 email client when using the "autoconfig or autodiscover" A records.
- Go to Tools -> Account Settings and click on New
- Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click Next
- Enter the user's full name, e-mail address, and password then click on Next
- Allow autodiscover.emailarray.com/AutoDiscover/AutoDiscover.xml to configure the client
- Click Finish

IMAP on Android Device
These are the instructions are specific to standard Android email client. These instructions will only apply when using the "autoconfig or autodiscover" A records.
IMAP account on Android's native mail app:
- Enter the device's Menu -> Settings -> Accounts -> Add account -> Email
- Enter your full e-mail address and password
- Select if you want to send e-mails using this account by default
- Click on Next
- Click Manual setup
- In account type, choose IMAP account
- Android will automatically use imap.yourdomain.com and smtp.yourdomain.com as hosts
- Username field has to be changed to your FULL e-mail address
- Continue through the rest of the wizard Click with your personal preferences
- Click on OK to finalize the procedure
Remember that, if you have an Enhanced account, you can use ActiveSync, to not only sync e-mails, but also contacts and events.

IMAP on IOS Device
These are the instructions are specific to standard IOS email client. These instructions will only apply when using the "autoconfig or autodiscover" A records.
- To add an Exchange account to your iOS device, tap Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Add Account -> Microsoft Exchange
- Fill out the fields as follows:
E-mail: Your full e-mail address
Domain: Leave empty
Username: Your full e-mail address
Password: Your password
Description: Account Description - Tap Next
- Choose which type or types of data you would like to synchronize: Mail, Contacts, and Calendars.
Remember that, if you have an Enhanced account, you can use ActiveSync, to not only sync e-mails, but also contacts and events.
Note that by default, only three days' worth of email is synchronized. To synchronize more, go into Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars, select your Exchange account, and tap on Mail days to sync (server is limited to 30 days at the most, for more than that you need to use search).
Note that after configuring an Exchange ActiveSync account, all existing contact and calendar information on the iOS device is overwritten. Additionally, iTunes no longer syncs contacts and calendars with your desktop computer.
ActiveSync Configuration
ActiveSync only applies to Enhanced Email Services. ActiveSync Webmail pushes collaboration even further by allowing better integration of your team's working data. Features available:
- Synchronize your mobile devices
- Work on online documents ( text, spreadsheets, etc ) directly from your computer
- Synchronize your desktop applications ( Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, iCal, etc )
- Maintain a web-drive, accessible as a local drive in Windows or other OS's
- Share files with your colleagues or other
To setup ActiveSync:
- Open the Mail application
- Enter your email address and password
- Click Next
- Click Exchange Account
- Domain: Leave Empty
- Enter your Password
Note: Configuring "Autodiscover & Autoconfig" will simplify the configuration of your mobile device
IMPORTANT NOTE:
In order for ActiveSync to work, you need to add an additional CNAME Record.

Manual IMAP Configuration
In some circumstances, it may be required to manually set up your email client. An example of an email client that would require manual setup would be Windows Live Mail.
Note that IMAP is recommended rather than POP, as it´s a protocol made to support several devices accessing one same account, with all folders synced at our server, which also guarantees that our backups will be executed.

Remember to always mark the option to "Require authentication" (sometimes referred to as "My server requires SMTP authentication").
